GOT WIN8 OR WINPHONE?
WANT TO BUILD STUFF WITH FRIENDS?
WINX WORKSHOPSMETRO FRIDAYS ARE BACK... ( think Metro Fridays from the past )

I like open workshops and hackathons. Lots of interaction that wasn't planned.  The chance to see and work with some really cool projects.  Tons of coding. The funnest times are events where folks sit around and co-work on their projects with specific goals in mind. I love to code, and love to help people code.  I have big meeting room, I'm holding office hours on Thurs, Sept 5 ( http://ohours.org/jhealy ),  so why not do an open workshop around the office hours.

What: Fla-Windev Windows 8 / Windows Phone / Azure Open Workshop and Office Hours
When: 900AM to 800PM - all day, Sept 5, 2013, with probably geek dinner after (informal)
What: Open format hackathon focused Windows Tech - Win8, Windows Phone, GameMaker, C2, Unity, whatever.  If a Windows store app is the target we want to play
Where: Microsoft Office, 5426 Bay Center Drive, Suite 700, Tampa, FL 33609 - directions - no food supplied, bring your lunch money - cafeterial downstairs
Ideas on what you could do: Jump start your Developer Experience by Coworking for a Day.  Brainstorm with peers.  Work on that project you'e been putting off.  Your call.
Who: Got computer, got Visual Studio? You've got the time, we will be there....
Registration: Just email jhealy@microsoft.com that you're in

This is a head down hackathon. NO lectures.  Bring a computer to work with. Powerstrips and alternative forms of Internet access are a good idea as well.
