I've given my VS2008 Service Pack 1 talk at many user groups and enterprises
around the state. So I thought I'd give you a heads up that, well, a
service pack 'update'
for the service pack was released on 12/31/2008. It may be obtained from
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/959209 .
You can find more info by searching the web for
KB959209.
IF YOU UPDATE YOUR DEV BOX DONT FORGET TO GET YOUR SERVERS UPDATED TOO!
The install is a bit annoying as you must first install regular 3.5 SP1
(if you haven't already)then the 'update' to the sp. The 'update' to
the SP is three files. And then
I had to update my server as well. With three different files. And my other dev boxes. Urk.
Interesting items fixed (note a full list can be found via the KB) - dynamic data
one to one relationships - ASP.NET BrowsCap being broken of FPSE are installed - some broken
UpdateProgress control issues - changes in the AutoCommit behavior for Oracle transactions -
problems with WPF generating images on the fly via ASP.NET on IIS - and some other fairly
freaky stuff - read the kb for all details.
